Local CHADD Chapter History

In January of 1993, ten local residents agreed to form the Greater Chattanooga Area CHADD Chapter. Our primary goal was simple: Provide informative speakers at monthly meetings to encourage support and education of ADD. Since our chapter has seen several area chapters close, our focus has changed from a local to a regional basis. Today, our chapter has an average of 90 active members providing information and encouragement for families of Chattanooga, Southeast Tennessee, North Georgia and Northeast Alabama.

Our chapter's continued success is due to our focused volunteer leadership, dedicated members, constant new audiences, concerned collaborative educators, knowledgeable health care professionals, supportive corporations and a mission driven national office. Because each of us has been blessed by our membership to CHADD and this chapter, we offer this information to you. If you or someone you care about has been diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, you are not alone. Please share this resource with your family and friends. Consider becoming a member of CHADD, today!
